There's More to Ethics Than Rules

The United States is slowly moving toward principle-based GAAP and away from rules-based accounting.  Accounting Ethics is also more than a bunch of rules.  At the lowest level, one follows the rules to avoid punishment and be “good” in the eyes of others.  The profession is moving toward a more social contract where we have respect for moral principles.

Dr. Ellis will be presenting many of the topics covered in her Accounting Ethics class and will engage the attendees in thought provoking exercises.  This is a 2-hour CEU session.
